Glazing: share of BER certificates for homes built before 2011 whose windows have a U-value of 2.5 to under 4.0 (older double glazing) or 4.0 or more (single glazing). Window area: the median total window area on the BER of a semi-detached house (SEAI BER register). Heating degree days: a year near the county's largest town, our sum from Met Éireann's 1991–2020 1 km grid. Higher means a colder year and more heat lost through each window.
